FIVE WAYS MCRS CAN HELP

Stronger support.
A clearer path to payment.

Start with what is holding your practice back.
Let’s identify your next step.

01 / CLAIMS & DENIALS

Claim & Denial Review

Find out what is holding up payment. I help you understand the issue and identify practical next steps toward appropriate reimbursement.

  • Denied or delayed claim review
  • Documentation, coding & payer requirements
  • Correction & appeal preparation guidance
02 / DOCUMENTATION & CODING

Documentation & Coding Audits

Know where your claims need stronger support. A focused audit helps identify gaps between the care delivered, the clinical record, and the services reported.

  • Focused documentation & coding review
  • Medical necessity & clinical reasoning
  • Operative note review & feedback
  • Findings with practical recommendations
03 / APPROVALS & MEDICAL NECESSITY

Prior Approvals &
Medical Necessity Letters

Make a clear case for the care your patient needs. I help organize clinical support and payer requirements for approval requests and letters of medical necessity.

  • Prior approval documentation support
  • Payer criteria & supporting record review
  • Letter development with provider review
04 / PROVIDER EDUCATION

Provider Education

Build the skills that support stronger claims. Practical education helps physicians, APPs, and practice teams connect clinical care with documentation and coding requirements.

  • Medical necessity, E/M & procedure topics
  • Specialty-aware sessions & onboarding
  • Education informed by audits & denials
05 / AI CODING ACCURACY

AI Coding Accuracy Review

AI assigns the codes. I check whether those codes accurately reflect the provider’s documentation and follow applicable coding rules. Receive clear findings on supported selections, coding errors, omissions, and recommended corrections.

An independent coding review by Donnine Day.

  • AI-assigned diagnosis and procedure codes
  • E/M levels and modifiers within the agreed scope
  • Incorrect, missed, duplicate, or unsupported selections
  • Written findings with coding rationale and recommended corrections

THE PERSON BEHIND MCRS

Meet Donnine Day

AAPC Approved Instructor

I’m Donnine Day, and I help physicians and APPs make the clinical reasoning behind their care clear in the medical record.

Through Medical Coding and Reimbursement Solutions LLC (MCRS), I work with providers who want practical answers to documentation, coding, and reimbursement questions. Whether you’re working through a denied claim, seeking approval for a service, or wondering what an audit might reveal, I help you understand the requirements and identify a practical next step.

Read My Full Bio

I bring 28 years of healthcare experience, with a career that began in surgical coordination and practice operations before expanding into coding, auditing, and provider education. I’ve worked through insurance authorizations, surgical scheduling, claim issues, and documentation requests. That experience helps me understand how reimbursement requirements affect the people delivering care and running a practice.

My services include documentation and coding audits, AI coding accuracy review, denial management support, assistance with prior approvals, and help developing letters of medical necessity. I help practices identify documentation gaps, understand recurring claim issues, and clearly communicate the clinical rationale supporting a requested service.

My experience spans surgical specialties, anesthesia, pain management, emergency medicine, and primary care, as well as services provided in ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). For more than a decade, I’ve developed educational materials, taught certification courses, and educated physicians, APPs, residents, fellows, and coding professionals.

My approach is conversational and collaborative. I want to understand your question and the clinical circumstances behind it. From there, we can work through the applicable guidance and identify practical ways to strengthen your documentation and processes. You can expect clear explanations and room to ask questions.

“Documentation Drives Medical Necessity” reflects the focus of my work: helping your record communicate why the care you provided was needed and support accurate coding and appropriate reimbursement.

Outside of work, I’m a wife, mother, and grandmother of three. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and following the clues in my family’s history through genealogy research. I’m also a plant lover, enjoy caring for my two fish aquariums, and love staying active through fitness.

If documentation questions, denials, or approval challenges keep coming up in your practice, I’d welcome the opportunity to get to know you and discuss how MCRS can help.
